Gristhorpe is a Village between Scarborough and Filey accessed off the A165 and it has a population of approximately 400 residents.
The Village has a quaint church in the Church of St Thomas; is part of the Cleveland Way and until February 1959, when it closed, had a railway station which was part of the Yorkshire Coast Line from Hull to Scarborough.
Lebberston is also a Village approximately 4 miles outside Scarborough and is accessed off the A165; has a population of approximately 185 residents. The Village has a public house, a holiday park, golf course and a regular outdoor Sunday market/car boot sale which takes place between March and September each year.
For both areas, the predominant business is farming, campsites and touring/static caravans.
The two villages join together to form one Parish Council, Gristhorpe & Lebberston; the Council meets on a bi monthly basis at Gristhorpe Village Hall.
